Lulupoo started out as a personal frustration. There just wasn't a dog waste solution that wasn't plastic, or that didn't sacrifice convenience. And the more I thought about it, the more it bothered me. Where are we headed if we keep doing the same thing?

I've always been a dog person, and on every walk with my golden retriever I'd notice it: plastic bags everywhere, sitting in trash cans, soon heading to landfills. All for something we use for a few seconds, many times a day. Multiply that by the 65 to 68 million households in the U.S. that own at least one dog, and the scale of it is hard to ignore.

We developed a sustainable technology that is a durable, water-soluble material made from sugarcane waste. It's strong, safe, and fully dissolves in water. What began as something personal has turned into something bigger. Just people who love their dogs and want a better option. 

I hope Lulupoo becomes a community of people who realize that small changes like choosing plastic-free bags can make a real difference.
